It's beach time for dogs again!
Though the summer days are behind us and we're bundling up in jumpers and hats, the change in the seasons means it's beach time for our dogs again!
Though some of our beaches across the UK allow dogs on certain areas throughout the season, the autumn and winter herald the restrictions lifting and our four-legged friends can run free across the sandy expanses.
Top winter beaches for dogs near our parks include:
Woolacombe - North Devon
With miles of sand, dog-friendly pubs and cafes and sand dunes full of interesting scents, this is a great beach for dogs to enjoy. Not far from our Sandaway and Combe Martin Beach holiday parks, it's the perfect dog holiday destination.
Perranporth beach - Cornwall
Close to our Perran View Holiday Park Perranporth is a very popular beach with locals, holidaymakers and most importantly, dogs! Dogs can come off the lead and run wild this time of year, enjoy the local cafes and walks around the local town.
St Mary's Bay - South Devon
A long sandy beach surrounded by interesting cliffs it's a favourite for dog walkers all year round. The beach is accessed via the South West Coast Path from our South Bay Holiday Park. Please note that the bay is at the bottom of a steep set of stairs and accessed by a narrow footpath.
Weston-Super-Mare - Somerset
There are the stretches of beach between The Grand Pier and Knightstone Island and towards Uphill on WSM where dogs can enjoy a good run all year around. There are many dog-friendly shops and restaurants nearby so your pooch can go anywhere and everywhere with you. You can enjoy this beach with your best friend when staying at our Sandy Glade or Sandy Meadows Holiday Park.
Poppit Sands - West Wales
Accessible from our Cardigan Bay Holiday Park, Poppit is the perfect place for pooches to enjoy the sand and sea. With half a mile of space for games of frisbee and plenty of rock pools to splash about in, plus grass-topped dunes to explore, it's the ideal location for our best friends.
